The department of Psychology was established on 3rd November, 1988. There are two faculty members 1 Reader and 1 Lecturer (under 10th plan). The department is nourishing and sustaining high standards of teaching and learning. The Department has produced more than 20 college teachers (part timer, visiting teachers & full-times), more than 30 school teachers and has many others professionals (like Counselors and Project officers) to its credit.

Department of Psychology organized a two-days seminar on experimental psychology for PTC college lecturers, in collaboration with District Educational Training Instt. (Diet) Bhavnagar on 27-28 February, 2004.
One day program arranged by department on AIDS awareness and counseling of AIDS patients.
Department arranged “Psychological picture show” for students.
Every year students visit the Mentally retarded school at Bhavnagar.
Students participated in an orientation program on mental reformation arranged by ANKUR.
Department arranged one day shibir on Dhyan and Yoga.
An Educational Tour is arranged every year, with purpose of special data collection.
