Background

  • The Department of Physics is at the forefront of technology of Magnetic Soft Condensed Matter. The department has state of art facilities for the development of different types of Magnetic Fluids, Characterization of Magnetic Materials and applications of Magnetic Fluids in engineering and biomedical problems. Several National and International research collaborations have been established.
  • For the newly discovered Photon Storage Phenomena we have put up a poster and a presentation (ppt format), in addition there are two videos showing the phenomena Video1 and Video2 . Please feel free to correspond with prof RV Mehta (rvm at bhavuni dot edu) for further details.
  • A 14" Telescope controlled from a Computer has been designed and developed in association with IUCAA, Pune and installed at our campus. The telescope is used for the study of the variable stars. Recently a collaborative program with AAVSO, under NASA grant, has been established for the GRB monitoring.
