Established in 1988 November, the Deptt of English has continuously marched  with significant achievements in academic and co-curricula activities. In harmony with the vision and mission of Bhavnagar University, the  department is nourishing and sustaining high standards of teaching learning.  The Deptt has offered more than 30 college teachers (part timer, visiting teachers & full-times) and large number of high school teachers, competitive posts and other placement are at its credit.

Courses offered :
The Deptt of English offers M.A. (Master) and Ph. D. (doctorate) degree. For master degree, the notification takes place usually in the month of May/June by the University.

Eligibility                       :       B.A.  with  entire English having  45% or
(Merit Level)                        more marks. (Only external result)
(Other Rules as                    For   Ph. D .  Personal   contact and spade
per PG rules)                    work as well as taker’s field of interest will  be                                                taken  into account. However cut-off line is M.A. with                                               55% or more.
