The Department of Bioinformatics was established in 2004 under UGC X plan. The main  objective is to formally train students who can pursue career as Bioinformaticians or Bioinformaticists, and this way,  to meet the ever increasing demand of man power in the field of Bioinformatics, having immense scope and applications.

  Eligibility :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Medical Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Computer Science, and Computer Application, with at least 48%
  • A candidate has to appear in the entrance   test  of 50 marks. The final   merit list is prepared by adding  

         (i)   50% of the final year external examination       percentage
         (ii)  50% of the obtained percentage  from entrance test
    
Reservation and allotment of the seats will be as per the university PG admission rules. 
All the other rules are as per the University rules.

Number of seats : 20 (Self financed)

Fees Structure  (per term): Rs. 12,335

* Students from non-biology courses will opt  fundamental biology while those     from biology background will opt fundamental mathematics.
